Drivers and Controllers for piezo actuators

To fulfill various requirements in terms of driving and control conditions for its piezo actuators (static, pulse, dynamic),  the CEDRAT Group has developed 3 different families of standard drivers:

  • CA45 rack: Low cost & compact (1 channel) linear voltage amplifier for precise and quasi-static motion.
  • LA75 rack: Linear voltage amplifier for dynamic and precise motion. 
  • SP75 rack: Switching power amplifier for fast motion. 

These standard drivers can be equipped with controllers and sensor conditioners.

Compact Amplifier CA45       data sheet   request for information
Description: The CA45 is a bipolar (-20 / +150 V) low cost and low noise compact single channel linear amplifier for driving low voltage piezoelectric actuators.  The CA45 is a standalone one channel amplifier encased in a RK12 small rack, and can be equiped with feedback sensors in order to provide a closed loop control.

Description: The Linear Amplifier LA75A is designed to drive capacitive loads like Piezoelectric Actuators with extremely low noise. It can perform amplifing operations in the -20/150 V range. The LA75A is a medium-power amplifier, integrated inside a Rack (RK42F) equipped with an AC/DC converter LC75A board.

Description: The Linear Amplifier LA75 is designed to drive capacitive loads like Piezoelectric Actuators with extremely low noise. It can perform amplifing operations in the -20/150 V range. The LA75B is a high-power amplifier, integrated inside a Rack (RK42F) equiped with an AC/DC converter LC75B board.

Description: The Linear Amplifier LA75 is designed to drive capacitive loads like Piezoelectric Actuators with extremely low noise. It can perform amplifing operations in the -20/150 V range. The LA75C has a much higher current capability, integrated inside a Rack (RK63F) equiped with an AC/DC converter LC75C.

Description: The SP75 is a bipolar (-20 / +150 V) switching power amplifier for driving low voltage piezoelectric actuators. The SP75 amplifier exists through A or B version and is integrated inside a Rack equipped with an AC/DC converter board LC75C.

Strain Gages Conditioner SG75          request for information
Description: The SG75 Strain Gages conditioner is iattached to a 19' card. The conditioners should normally drive full Strain Gages bridges. The gain of the conditioner is generally set starting from the Strain Gages bridges bonded onto Piezo Actuators. This board can be sold on its iwn in a RK12F rack.

Analog Servi Controler SC75          request for information
Description: The SC75 controller is implanted as an opion on the amplifier card. up to 3 SC75 controller cards can be used per LA75 card. The SC75 controller includes an analog PID controller and 2 filters that can be combined to create a notch filter or a low pass filter.

Micro Controller UC75          request for information
Description: The UC75 micro controller is attached to a 19' card and includes two pairs of D/A and A/D converters. A LCD screen can be used to display the main parameters. This card can be connected to and piloted from a PC by a RS232 or an USB cable.
Performance: Max. number of channels: 6; A/D converters: 2*3; D/A converters: 2*3; Resolution: 16 bits
